Inzura’s low cost TelematicsEngine provides insurers with a robust and calibrated way of measuring the driving behaviour of their customers all within your own customer focused smartphone app. Driving skill and style are measured and scored and then combined with automated lifestyle analysis forming a complete customer profile. Engage with the customer to encourage better driving or implement policy sanctions or pricing adjustments. Rewards and affiliate campaigns can be managed and activated to enhance motivation.
 
Leveraging 1 second frequency GPS sensor data on the smartphone, the Inzura telematics solution employs advanced AI algorithms to turn the raw driving data into detailed insight into an individual’s driving style, lifestyle and journey preferences. For Customers

Customers are keen to maximise any insurance policy benefits so it is important to be transparent and clear on what will help them. If you embed the TelematicsEngine capability and app SDK in your app, it will automatically record driven trips even if the app is in the background. Each driven trip is recorded and then uploaded to the TelematicsEngine at the end of the journey. It is then scored by our AI algorithm and coaching feedback is given to the customer to help them understand how to improve their driving. If their driving is good, then users get access to rewards and additional features of the scheme.
Because the data is uploaded at the end of each trip, a customer is not tracked in real time (unlike most black-box solutions).

This stands for Software Development Kit and is a packaged piece of code that contains important core functions. In the case of TelematicsEngine, the SDK contains our algorithms for background recording and stay-alive code as well as API access. Using the SDK will accelerate the integration of TelematicsEngine into your own app.

Telematics scores

Each trip is given a score that is typically 1 to 5 where 5 is best. Some insurer customers show an emoji instead of a numeric score. These scores are aggregated together over a period of several weeks to create a long-term profile score – this is the main score that insurers use to manage policy terms and conditions. Over 200 metrics are generated on the Inzura system and all can be used by the app or insurer underwriting team
